Bed Wetting in Children

The first thing to understand about bed wetting in children is that it’s a relatively common problem.

Bed Wetting - Finding The Solution

Statistics show that only 34 percent of Australian families with a child who wets the bed seek professional help. Instead, they wait for what’s called spontaneous remission, where the child grows out of it naturally.

Bedwetting

Childhood enuresis (bedwetting) is a common complaint, occurring in up to 18.9% of school-aged children.

Enuresis Alarms

Activated by micturition, enuresis alarms have evolved from bed-based pads to the portable, ‘mini alarm systems’ worn on the body.

Interventions

For the children and families living with nocturnal enuresis, interventions include enuresis alarms and behavioural treatments.

Nocturnal Enuresis

The involuntary loss of urine at night at an age when a child is expected to remain dry is a disruptive, stressful and embarrassing problem.
