Australia's Health Reforms - online survey
Centre for Health Economics Research & Evaluation (CHERE) at the University of Technology Sydney and the Australian Healthcare & Hospitals Association (AHHA) are collaborating to monitor the development and implementation of the new health system reforms.
The aim is to monitor the implementation of Australia’s current health reforms by surveying clinicians, managers and opinion leaders to identify what has been achieved and what barriers they perceive as the reform implementation progresses.
Understanding what is happening throughout the system, in state health authorities, in regional agencies, and at the local level, and at the clinical interface can provide a rapid review of how implementation is progressing, and can identify issues and barriers that need addressing as further reform is effected.
The first phase of the research is underway; it involves an online survey to collect data on attitudes and views of the reforms at the early stages. The researchers would like to hear from managers and other decision makers from within commonwealth and state bureaucracies, local health authorities, hospitals, community health services, and other relevant agencies.
The survey takes 10-20 minutes and can be completed by clicking on the link. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HealthReform2011A If the link doesn’t work, please copy and paste it into your web browser.
The first phase of the research is funded by a grant awarded by the University of Technology Sydney Partnership Grants Scheme. Further information about the research can be obtained by contacting Patsy Kenny patsy.kenny@chere.uts.edu.au.
