'Good Days' outings offer a transformative blend of urban exploration, practical skill-building, and cultural immersion. These 4-hour block, small group, day programs offer NDIS participants the ability to immerse themselves in a carefully curated itinerary of excitement, skill building, and intensive social skills training facilitated by the most qualified and passionate people. These sessions take place in a variety of settings including Brisbane City, the Southbank Cultural precinct, various shopping centres and other educational facilities such as local universities.
Participants will learn to navigate everyday challenges like decision-making and money skills in supportive environments, fostering independence and confidence. Cultural visits to QAGOMA and the Science Museum will deepen understanding of art and social issues, encouraging self-expression and empathy, the key to initiating and maintaining meaningful connections with others. Shopping Centres visits will allow participants to complete daily errands in a more meaningful and supported way which will lead to actual progress. Exposure to educational settings and individualised goal mapping will help inspire participants to reach their potential.
Each outing culminates in continuous reflective discussions encouraged by our team leaders, which promotes personal growth and camaraderie over shared meals enjoyed in a variety of scenic settings. "Good Days' Outings" aims to expand horizons and empower participants through practical experiences and meaningful connections, ensuring every adventure leaves participants with lasting impressions and valuable life skills.
